Whether you’re looking to take a leisurely stroll or bask in the sunshine on a lazy weekend, here’s the guide to the post beautiful parks you should visit when we stay with us this summer.

Kensington Palace and Gardens

For over a century between the 1600 and 1700s, Kensington Palace served as the private home of England's royal family, and even as the birthplace of one of our most notable monarchs, Queen Victoria.

Though whilst the palace itself is steeped in history, it's the palace's former private gardens that we're interested in here. Designed by Queen Caroline in the early 1700s, highlights include the wonderful Flower Walk, impressive water fountains and the must-see Albert Memorial.

Kensington Roof Gardens

Either walk from our Earls Court hotel or take the tube to High Street Kensington, and pay a visit to one of the more unique gardens in the area. Spanning one-and-a-half acres, the roof gardens are a real highlight of any visit to The Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The restaurant and clubhouse make the perfect place to sit back and enjoy a drink after exploring the three gardens, each with a unique theme: Spanish, Tudor style and English woodland.

If you’re staying at the Hotel Amsterdam of a weekend, we highly recommend you pay a visit to the famous Speaker’s Corner, where you’ll find all manner of weird and wonderful characters captivating Hyde Park’s visitors.
